Fraud Alert
Fraud Alert: Someone has been using the university's credit references in an attempt to open accounts with several vendors across the country. The credit reference letter is generally an altered version of the one previously found on our website, and the person(s) refer to themselves as being from the "Regents of the University of California." If you have any suspicion about any contact you receive that indicates it is from UC Davis, please call (530) 752-0370 immediately to confirm.

Ordering & Receiving Radioactive Materials

The purchase of radioactive materials must comply with 290-75 of the UC Davis Policy and Procedure Manual.

Delivery Requirements

All radioactive materials must be delivered to the following:

For Davis location orders:

Radioactive Chemicals

Purchases of radioactive chemicals with the following commodity codes may be made by departments with current Radiation Use Authorizations (RUAs) using a Departmental Purchase Order in DaFIS:
  • 43841: CHEMICAL, RADIOACTIVE/RADIOISOTOPE
  • 43855: CHEMICAL, DIAGNOSTIC/TEST, RADIOACTIVE
This policy applies regardless whether or not an M3 agreement exists/is used. Appropriate Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) procedures must be followed (reference Policy and Procedure Manual Section 290-75).
